PSE Instant Discount Eligibility
Whether you're buying a home, remodeling or just looking to spend less, you can use PSE's instant discounts to save on energy efficiency upgrades to your living space. The more energy-efficient your home becomes, the lower your bills can get.
Smart Thermostats and Line Voltage Connected Thermostats
To be eligible for the PSE instant discount on smart thermostats or line voltage connected thermostats you must be a current PSE residential customer with electric heat or natural gas heat provided by PSE.
Eligible customers may receive up to one (1) smart thermostat instant rebate and up to five (5) line voltage connected thermostats rebates. Additional smart thermostats and line voltage connected thermostats may be purchased without the PSE instant discount. PSE Marketplace purchases must be shipped to and installed at addresses within the Puget Sound Energy service territory. Instant discounts are awarded at the time of purchase. The qualified smart thermostat must be registered as connected through WiFi with the manufacturer.
Customers that heat their home with PSE electricity purchasing a smart thermostat or line voltage connected thermostat from the PSE Marketplace with the PSE instant discount are automatically pre-enrolled in the PSE Flex program. PSE offers an additional $50 PSE Flex incentive separately to customers* after successful installation of the smart thermostat or line voltage connected thermostat and completing enrollment in PSE Flex. *Customers participating in the Time of Use pilot are not eligible for the $50 PSE Flex incentive. Customers already participating in PSE Flex Rewards will be transitioned to an automated PSE Flex program.
EV Chargers
To be eligible for the PSE instant discount on electric vehicle (EV) chargers you must be a current PSE residential electric customer. Eligible customers may receive up to one (1) EV charger rebate in a five (5) year period. Additional EV chargers may be purchased without the PSE instant discount. The Level 2 charger must be installed at a property within PSE’s electric service area.
Customers purchasing this EV charger from the PSE Marketplace with the $300 PSE instant discount are automatically pre-enrolled in the PSE Flex program. PSE offers an additional $50 PSE Flex incentive separately to customers* after successful installation of the EV charger and completing enrollment in PSE Flex. Learn more about PSE Flex programs. LED Bulb Kits
All PSE residential customers are eligible to purchase LED bulb kits from the PSE Marketplace. There are no purchase quantity limits.
Heat Pump Water Heater Instant Coupon
To be eligible for a heat pump water heater instant coupon you must be a current PSE residential electric or dual fuel customer. The new installed equipment must consume PSE electricity. The equipment must meet at least Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEAA) Tier 3 requirements and be on PSE’s qualified product list.
Eligible customers may receive up to one (1) heat pump water heater instant coupon per qualified single family home in a five (5) year period. Instant coupons are only available on new qualifying equipment. Coupons cannot exceed pre-tax purchase price of any rebated equipment. Equipment replaced under warranty will not be eligible for a second coupon.
